2009-10 Kindergarten and New Student Registration

               Kindergarten and new student registration for the 2009-10 school year will be February 9-March 27. Registration packets will be available beginning Monday, January 26. Students must be five years of age on or before December 2, 2009 to enter kindergarten. The following documentation is required for registration: an immunization record, county certificate of live birth, and proof of district residency (escrow papers, telephone or utility bill, rental agreement). If applicable, current court orders regarding custody must also be turned in with packets. Please bring in original documents and we will make copies. Registration packets will only be accepted with all required documentation and forms. It is not necessary for immunizations to be complete at the time of registration. Copies will be made of current immunization records at registration and again as completed.    

               Students must register at their home school in the attendance area where they reside. Packets may be turned in February 9 through March 27, 2009 between the hours of 8 AM and 3 PM. In order to avoid long registration lines, packets turned in February 9-March 27 will all be dated March 27 instead of the specific turn in date. If necessary, placement for AM or PM preference for kindergarten will be done by lottery, so it will not matter what day you register if it’s between February 9 and March 27. Please register by March 27, as packets turned in after this date will be timed and dated on the date received for placement.
