We are already signing up new runners for the 2009 Lake Forest Cross Country Team! This season, our team will be open to all boys and girls in 3rd through 5th grades.

Below you will find the schedule and some useful information. Please note that there are many changes from last year to remember!

New Policies! Due to the changes in our district policies regarding fitness, all students who participate on any athletic team must complete an Agreement for Team Participation waiver form and have the sports physical examination form completed by a physician. The physical exam forms will be kept on file and can be used for other sports during the school year.

Practice- Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00 am until 8:45 (starting August 20th). The first meeting is tentatively planned for Thursday, August 20th , watch for bulletins to be sent home. Please make sure you have running shoes on, bring a water bottle, and get ready to get fit!

Meets-Meets occur on Wednesdays after school. Meets generally will start at 3:30, but we will need to check-in 30 minutes before the meets to walk the course so you know where to run.

Transportation- A bus will be provided for some, if not all, away meets. It may be the responsibility of the parent to provide transportation to and from the event. Parents will be responsible for signing their children out at the end of meets so we can make sure everybody arrives home safely. More information on buses will be delivered in August.   We will send updated information regarding start dates, shirt sizes and transportation before August 20, 2009.
